Ethics and Arbitration Commission

The primary task of the Ethics and Arbitration Commission is to advise, clarify, and, where possible, mediate conflicts between patients and therapists. The basis for this work is the ethical guidelines of the German Society for the Protection of the Body (DVG). The ethical guidelines aim to provide guidance to DVG members regarding the ethical aspects of their professional activities. They describe ethical standards for the professional conduct of Gestalt therapists. They inform and protect the members of the public who use the services of DVG members. They provide the basis for resolving complaints. DVG members are responsible for observing the principles described in these guidelines and using them as a basis for responsible implementation in their practice.
